Frequently Asked Questions

How do I play?

Each round, glowing runes appear on screen with an active rule — match a specific symbol or match a color. Tap the signals you believe are true, then confirm your selection before the timer runs out. Correct reads earn points. Mistakes cost clarity. Three mistakes and the signal is lost.

How do I restore my Remove Ads purchase?

If you reinstall the app or switch devices, your purchase should restore automatically. If it doesn't, the restore option is available in the app. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.

Are ads required to play?

No. All ads in Signal & Noise are completely optional. Rewarded ads offer bonuses like retrying a round, briefly revealing a true signal, or slowing the timer — but you can play the full game without ever watching an ad.

How does scoring work?

You earn 10 points for each correctly identified signal and lose 5 points for each incorrect selection. Consecutive perfect rounds build a streak — at 3 or more, you earn bonus points each round. Your high score is saved locally on your device.

Why does it get harder?

Difficulty scales automatically as you progress. The game introduces more signals, decoy signals that share visual traits with true ones, colors that shift closer together, animations that mimic each other, and a tighter timer. The challenge compounds from multiple directions at once.

What happens when the timer runs out?

If the timer expires, your current selection is automatically confirmed — whatever you've tapped gets locked in. If you haven't selected anything, all true signals count as missed.

What does the "Clarity" meter mean?

The diamond pips in the top right represent your mistake budget. Each incorrect selection or missed true signal costs clarity. When all three are gone, the signal is lost and your run ends.
